Project Introduction
This stop-motion animation is not just only a school project or visual story, it is also a birthday gift I gave to a friend. The protagonist of this visual story is Lego Mickey, who creates a "Happy Birthday" masterpiece on paper. Each of the 415 frames in this process was captured using a camera and tripod.
Throughout the creation of this animation, I encountered a variety of challenges while making this animation, from slight changes in light causing uneven tones in the background to the impact slight camera movement had on the coherence of the image. Precision is crucial; even the slightest camera movement or unintentional LEGO character movement can result in a poor finished product. Balancing the task of painting and ensuring camera stability requires constant attention. Despite these challenges, the end result brought my friend great joy.
