Project Introduction
My former visual communication professor, Katie, offered me this project after I graduated. When she heard that I wanted to pursue a career related to creativity, she kindly invited me to work on this project.
To briefly introduce this project, it involves graduates of the Bachelor of Media Production and Design (BMPD) creating postcards for future students, each accompanied by a message for them. I was thrilled when I learned about the details of this project. As a recent graduate of Carleton University, I hope to leave a lasting mark at my alma mater. Additionally, these postcards will be printed.
I am deeply grateful to Katie for her help and technical support during this project. Not only did she offer valuable advice on creativity and design, but she also provided immense encouragement and guidance throughout the entire process. By participating in this project, I not only enhanced my skills but also learned new things, which will be significant for my future career development.
Antique Exhibits at Carleton's Media Museum
The School of Journalism and Communication (SJC) at Carleton University has curated a fascinating collection of media-related antiques, including radios, old telephones, vintage cameras, and projectors. Inspired by this collection, I designed a postcard that brings these antiques together, hoping to encourage new students to explore and discover these hidden treasures.
As I looked at these antiques, I found myself captivated by the history of technology. It’s pretty cool to see how far we’ve come.
